Well I'm only giving 4 stars because the food is not what it used to be before Mr. Calvin retired or whatever happened to him. The fish used to be well seasoned you can taste the marinade in it from being seasoned the night before. Now it's like you're just eating battered fish with no taste and you can taste the after taste of it. The shrimp are still amazing, and the potato salad has improved oh my goodness it's so good!!! definitely going for shrimp and chicken. They have updated the place from what it used to be. Nice floors & a chalk wall for the kids to write on. The service is amazing they make yu feel so welcomed . Very friendly people. Family owned .
I was a little skeptical at first glance. Place was empty. The gentleman working was very nice and welcoming. Chicken was delicious. Fresh out the grease. Only issue was price. 2 3pc dark with fries and a can drink was over $30.

The 2 beautiful Waitresses have to be the most kindest girls in the world..... the restaurant serves fish, chicken, and shrimp and it so good but the chicken is the best definitely recommend
Best fried chicken on the planet!! I love this place! The fried fish is also a favorite since I was a kid. Mr. Cleveland is always smiling and takes time to visit with his customers, and his staff is always kind. The food has never once disappointed. This place is a staple in our little community.
Brown's is a family favorite that never disappoints. I grew up eating Brown's & so did my mom. It's always hot & tasty. Tonight my mom, aunt & I had shrimp plates which were tasty with a lil spice. They only come with a soft roll & a scoop of potato salad which I don't care for so I had to get an order of fries to supplement it. The small shrimp plate is more than enough for me, we all had some left over. The fried chicken is really good too.
Winner winner, chicken dinner! Brown's has the best fried chicken around. The menu isn't extensive - fried chicken, fish, or shrimp, a modest collection of sides, and desserts - but it is all top-notch. The fried chicken has a hint of spice and is super crunchy. The fish and shrimp aren't quite as spicy, so they're my younger son's choice. If you haven't had Brown's chicken yet, go get some. If you're not in Brusly, it's worth the drive.
This is.some of the best friend chicken I have had in Louisiana! Mr. Cleveland got his down to.a science. Well seasoned and cooked right. I fed my crew lunch and they all wanted the address. They are all regulars.
